Frequently Asked Questions
Your nearest airports are Santiago de Compostela (SCQ) approx. 1 hour away or La Coruña (LCG) approx. 40 min. away. Many of these airports offer direct flights from several other European airports.
Once arriving to either destination your easiest & most economic mode of transfer is by taking the public bus.
- From Coruña you will have to take a transfer shuttle from the airport to the Coruña City Bus Station. Aena Bus Transfers. Once at the bus station you can take the direct bus transfer to Ferrol. Approx. time is roughly 1.5 hours and costs around 11 euros. Once you arrive at the bus station we will pick you up and bring you to the surfhouse.
- From Santiago you´ll have to take a bus transfer from the airport to the Santiago Bus Station. http://www.aena.es/en/santiago-airport/public-transport.html. From the bus station you can take a direct transfer to Ferrol bus station. Approx. time 2hrs. and cost around 15 euros.
- Transfer services directly from the airport are available upon request.
Though it´s not required we highly recommend that you do. Some beaches are within walking distance however, the transport of material can be quite tiresome and for other beaches you will need some form of transportation. Plus there is so much to see in our area. This will give you the freedom to make the most of your vacation. Best options are to rent cars directly at the airport. If not, you can also look into the App Get Around which is like an Air BnB for car rentals. Keep in mind we do offer bicycles for rent at the surfhouse.
Yes, we have a variety of different surfboards and wetsuits available for rent. Surfboards come in all different shapes and sizes, from shortboards, to funboards and even longboards. All of our wetsuits are 4/3mm.
